Can you guys "see" music?

I saw this thread on futureproducers and thought I'd bring it here.
When I close my eyes and listen to a track, I see the fruity sequencer for the drums/percs and the synths in piano roll. Crazy, I obviously spend WAY too many hours producing... sometimes I even wake up in the morning with a fruity sequencer in my head. LOL
But what the post was about was basically if you see images when you listen to music. Especially trance.
When I smoke myself silly I can see colorful patterns in my brain that create twisting, aura-circled landscapes. Panning really makes the image bright, and condensed synths in certain frequency ranges and certain spacing of instruments makes it even more prominent.
Next time you smoke (or maybe you don't even need to), listen to Avalanche (Yahel Mix)... the song has created the most vivid visualizations I've ever experienced.
Most good Psytrance creates the same effects.
I know a few other people who also experience these images, and we've tried to figure out why, but can't.

hmmm cant say i see images...but i definitely know what you mean by being able to see a track laid out channel by channel in FL...just goes to show how developed your ears have become for this type of music... I think one of the first ways to producing great music is being able to listen to a song, and dissect it in your head...
well i guess i sorta see images...if its an amazingly beautiful track with lush pads and awesome supersaw chords....i kinda feel like im flying in the clouds :eyespop: |

When im high i always expirence music not only through hearing it but also visually...espacially dreamy chill or prog and banging psy.
making music while high is lots of fun...everything sounds so good...hehe... |

In one of my dreams (about a month ago) i saw Nu-Nrg - Supersonik Way playing in a reason sequencer, it was very triangular.
like:

| yes i see images, i heard a tiesto in amsterdam cd magik 6 or something when i was stoned and my gosh it was bliss, i felt like the crowd were below me and i was flying and was like floating in mid air in an open space with all these lasers and all these really psy colours around it was great, i always see images of things wildlife and dolphins ect, like on airwave lady blue, that tune reminds me of a really chilled out woman in a dark blue outfit like a skirt with frilly bits at the bottom flying around a countryside full of coulourful flowers and the beat where it kicks in is the bit were she flies up and sprays her magic wand with all sparkles coming out and floating onto the different couloured plants,its great i love it :D:D:D |

Azza Robinson, I got the same thing. Though I'm more of a sober guy... ;D
I don't think it's Synaesthesia (it sounds cool to have ;D), but when I'm in the right mood and listen to music, I can see the different layers of the track. They take shape in cubes, circles. They change color, size, and what have you, when the vibe of the music changes, and so on.
I can also see a scenario take place when listening to tunes. That's how I name my tunes too. For Quintet of a Meadow, for example, I saw a Meadow in front of me. Trees a little here and there, green green grass all over the place. It's a sweet scene...
For every tune I produce I know what the music video would look like. What will happen in it etc. Sometimes I take it the other way around. I make up a scene, and then try to discribe it, through music.
