Here's my set up :
2 Pioneer CDJ 200
1 Technics SL-1210 MK2
1 Vestax PCV-275
Altec lansing 5.1 Sound (plug by rca on the Master Out 2 )
Computer whit Sounblaster audigy 5.1 live soundcard
Sony Soundforge
PROBLEM : No record out on this mixer, so there's only the Master Out 1 (1/4 jack XLR )free. Im looking to record my set. Which one of theses options should be the best for me (very low budget hehe ! )
A) Buy a soundcard like M-Audio Audiophile or audiophile 192 (so i'll be able to plug my vextax via the XLR)
B) Buy new monitor speakers , something like M-Audio BX series or KRK speakers (Amplified speakers whit xlr , so i'll be able to record via rca Master Out 2 to line in on my computer ; then record with Sounforge )
C) Other sugestions ?????
Many thanks

i have my 275 hooked up via xlr to KRK rockit 8s and then the rca master outs going into my cheesey sb live soundcard and it does the trick.
if money is an issue i would spend it on the monitors and continue with that sound card. if its not, get the monitors and the m-audio soundcard. |

I have an audiophile. As far as I know it only accepts digital inputs and 1/8" RCAs. What you can do is get one of those and plug your master two into the input and plug soundcard's output into your stereo system. That's a <$100 solution. Then, you can continue to save up for a set of Mackie SRMs. |

i use the other master out for it and have my amp connected into the other output. u try buying some new cables, i think they are jack plugs to phonos |

You can just buy RCA-XLR conversion plugs, then you have your choice which one you plug into which out.
And its a darn sight cheaper than buying a soundcard or monitors.
For the record, I have the RCA outs going to my amp and the XLR out with >RCA plugs going to my Xitel InPort soundcard. |

this will be the easiest and cheapest route to go.
for the record, your PCV-275 does not have XLR jacks (unless your 275 is differnt from mine). the outputs above your RCAs are 1/4" TS (tip-sleeve). all you need are a pair of TS-RCA cables and you will be set. |
