Hi there!
I've been experimenting with sound and created something original... I think so... Actually 1 hour ago I started with kick in Logic and added two layered es2 basslines. Then I added clap with huge delay on 3 notes and created arp melody with es2 also, compressed it and added delay with reverb. Then I opened fruity loops and reversed unknown vocal sample and made it my note and then put all this together and added percussions. What I have is here:

So, everything was done with 3 standard logic plugins es2, 4 standard logic effects (eq, delay, reverb and compressor) and standard fruity loops reversed sample.
Just wanted to know what do you think about all this mixed together and should I go for this track or not? Give me your reviews, because I've just started and didn't make any mixing except laying Logic limiter on out, lol... So, don't be hursh: just tell me if it is original and I should work on it. As for me I like this one very much and think it is quite original... Mum likes it anyway...rofl

It is fairly original, but there are some small flaws.
The kick is a touch too loud, and the double kicks are really "in-your face", some people like that though.
The hats need to be a bit sharper. (more high-end EQ)
I dont really like the singing, but thats preference, maybe you should drown it into the mix a bit more.
Great job for a first try though and i think you should keep working on it, don't expect a top track after 1hr of producing, keep at it.
P.S: i've never seen a non-english say Mum before. |

Bassline is nice, but needs to be mono.
Haha, the vocals sounds like some indian-tribe-language or something!
The idea is there, but needs some more work ;) |

I'm sorry but its not my first production. I've been composing trance for about a year. I've just tried to compose something original coz I've noticed everyone say that nowadays trance is quite boring. But if you want standard trance, it can be found here:

Hey, i'm listening to that Purification song.
Intro seems good, some nice effects and atmosphere you got going there.
The bassline is quite a common one, but at least its good.
I think you should lower some of the high EQ on that reverb-ed snare, but thats all really.
Good track, has it got a melody? You should post the full thing or at least more of it to get some more proper reviews. |

| this sounds fairly original, sounds like reversed vocals to me, Ive tried that once too you know lol, but I kept laughing at it.. though this is actually very cool !! the high octave synths in it are very nice!! |

Dude, keep working on this track, it sounds great so far. though it's mostly purcusion. those high octave trance stabs sound good. i really like the beginning. you should fade in some strings in the beginning as it has quite a build to it, but it drops right before that lady comes in. as for her, i'd say cut out the whole melody of it, and just take maybe 3 samples of her at most, but fade them in the backround, not as up front, bringing them in when needed.
the track has great original potential, honestly. trust me, i hear alot of crap these days. don't give up, you'd be doing a diservice to music :tongue3 |

You have some really great ideas hear, and the mastering isn't top notch but it's quite good. The voice, man it really killed the mood, it was too loud! It was sound so hypnotic if you just drenched over it with sound. To get that energetic feel, keep the claps overlayed with the kick, example Kick Clap Kick Clap Kick Clap. THe high hat needs a tad of adjustment, but those claps man, need to do something, seem slike you just putem there to do nothing!
Excellent melody though. |
