| Strange track...I can't say if I like it or not...maybe I have to listen a lot of times...I like your beat at 2:30 but then with the piano...:( Generally is dark with a lot of psy elements inside.A lot of work with freqs and modulators ;) :cool: |

Strange track indeed. Liking the heavy rumbling bass. Synths could need a little improvement like fattening up.
You need more upper-mid frequencies, something LFOed, quite sharp which could add some more depth to your track, working as some kind of percussion. This should support the groove of the track.
The idea with the piano is quite nice, too, but dont let it stand alone there. Some more layers in general will help you :) |

Thanks, man...needless to say I don't post my tracks until I've released them, so no changes will be made to this one...but your comments WILL be kept in mind for future tracks...definitely.

| I agree with what Sparkunian and Cybernetica have said. The things thats missing for me is the bassline. Psy is generally carried by the bass even the really dark stuff. Its not very prominent and sounds more industrial than anything else. I'd keep that in mind for future productions too. Compositionally, its not bad with lots of layers working in unison. The mastering needs some attention but that will come naturally in time. |

now onto criticism........the snare sounds too dry in my opinion. Kick is not loud enough(or thick, whatever)a slight boost would be good. Nice hihats though and f'ed lead. Bass is subtle but has its presence so tis rpetty good. Kinda reminds me of Twisted from infected mushroom, seriously listen to it you could get some ideas(such as the kick that is pretty nasty. Cool piano melody that complements very well the leading synth. You could try adding some more percs during the climaxs of the song(open hihat, and stuff).
Overall: 2/10.......lol j\k great track, I like it |
