How long does it take for blisters to go away?

| I tried googling but couldn't find a thing. I have this blister on my foot for ahwhile, like 3-4 years. You think if I stop walking for a bit it will go away? |

| Umm...3-4 ... years ? :wtf: doesn't matter if you really walk on it because i get a few on my feet from the beach playing volleyball or w/e and they always go away in a couple of days like they should. |

That's one resilient blister...usually mine go away in like a week or so... |

Try taking a sewing needle, and heating it with a lighter, or in a pot of boiling water to sterilize it. Pop the blister carefully. Be sure to wash the area thoroughly and wear a bandage to prevent infection. Also, keep a tissue or q-tip nearby to clean up the pus that will come out when you pop it.
3 or 4 years is a looong time though. This blister may require professional medical attention. I assume youve had different pairs of shoes along the way? |

| Stupid old me never changed his shoes when I should have, I changed them a little too late and it doesn't matter what shoe I have because it's at that point where it's sensitive. I'll try what you guys told me with the needle thing, thanks and more input is welcome. |

| Used to get blisters on my feet from walking/jogging too much. They wouldn't go away because everytime I walked on them there was friction. So what I'd do is put a kleenex over it to form a sort of cushion, then I'd stick it on with band-aids. Usually went away after a few weeks. |

Anyways, i'm going to start wearing sandles since the blister is on my heel. |
