I know it’s strange, but for some reason I have never taken a liking to PVD…not really a “liking”, just a general lack of interest. I don’t know why because I know he is like a legend in the scene. When I first got into edm, I was all about Tiesto and Oakey back in 01 and 02...
The only thing I know about PVD is that his label is vandit lol. And I’ve heard ONE set of his (old, from like 01 or something) and it was actually pretty damn sick! Arturo introduced it to me..hahah (noooo really??) It was him live at something major like love parade or dance valley. I dunno, but it had A LOT of energy..it was very technoish..not really trancey, but I know he usually plays lots of epic trance tunes right?
Anyway, my point is, since I have no clue about PVD..what is he spinning these days?
I like Donald Glaud, Cedric G. Eic Pydz, SASHA, Sander...lots of remixed 80's rock tunes with that funky, sexy, steady house beat:) That stuff makes me dance! |

Paul has a tech trance feel in his sets, he mixes it up a lot...I really stopped liking his productions...entirely but seeing him live is truly great with the exception of his encore tracks which are usually crappy...He plays mostly all pumping trance I really never thought of PvD really spinning epic...I think Ferry plays more epic...PvD usually slams in some techno. I really can't describe it because it's all pounding but his productions differ 100% from his spinning. If you were to go based on his actual musik he'd sound ghey but if you see him live a lot it's different. Although, he's not always great live either. |

yea i think i'll pass. i can still appreciate a good hard techy trance song (i'm very picky about that genre), but i wouldn't pay money and go make a night of it.
i'm really into lounges lately...i LOVE the pawn shop lounge w/ all that 80's retro stuff. it rocks!
and ivano b. on saturdays at nikki beach...yeaaa:toocool:
have fun though everyone!!! i'll be at space for sander in october that's for damn sure. |
