Well I stuck on the Radio last night to listen to this.. heard about 20 mins then had to turn off.
'Innocent Thoughts' kept me interested, and the transition into the next track was nice, so I thought "Hey maybe he's actually trying to put on a decent set". But then on after it just went downhill.. the tunes were never gonna be my cup of tea anyway, I understood that, but whatever happened to DJ's trying to seamlessly mix between two tracks? Does he even try anymore?
The transitions were just disgusting, I didn't notice any trainwrecking, but I mean, does he use the EQ's? does he phrase? To me they just sounded like half-assed crossfader switches, really loud and noticeable. Does he think about what track he's gonna put on next?
I'm not one of those people that listen for transitions.. but you couldn't help but notice how bad these were.
This was a piss poor mix imo, and it just reminded me why I never listen to him anymore. |
