I had an amazing time. I was so good to just chill out on probably one of the nicest days we've had for weather in a long time. So good to see so many people I haven't seen in a long time. I know I know, I'm never around but things have been pretty busy in my life that I just haven't been able to find the time to get out as much as I would like to. That and the weather is too damn nice to not go to my cottage on weekends.
Great music, amazing peope, perfect weather. What else could you ask for. I was a little tired from teh night before so I left around midnight. Nat drove me to the subway. I had so much dirt all over me that people actually moved away from me on the subway. Everytime I looked down at my feet, I was reminded of how much fun I had during the day.
Thanks again everyone. Great to see you and I can't wait to do it again. Thanks for having me and mike over Nat. Good to just chill at your place. Its been far too long. I think the alst time I was there was your bbq last summer.....remember the one that I had to leave for nearly 3 hours for an "emergency"...blah

The party that took the cake for me this weekend was SHIFT.
I got there around 5.30pm to celebrate some of my gurls' birthdays by kicking up a storm, to yet another performance of wonderful local talent.The music was divine-the company-nice and the day, absolutely brilliant!!:D
MAX Q- Always a pleasure to hear you spin, c your smiling face, chill and DANCE with you. the way you glide on that dancefloor is beyond me! but I got my eye on you kid * said ala denirro in Meet the Fockers*
DJ SCIENCE- I remain a loyal fan and look forward to kick it up with you.. yet again.
DJ KABO- Thanks for the a annual spin session which is a rare treat indeed. Sorry to hear the interuption ( the cops and etc.) but I think it all worked out well. You left people very intrigued- yet again ;)
JON TREMBLAY- I finally got to hear what your music is all about. I usually tend to lean more toward the harder housey-technoey sounds but YOU offered a nice rare treat of PROG. Good set all round!
MOSSEY and SCHRYER ( the apples of my eye ;)) I can't help but smile when I think of both of you. Your energies and the way you weaved utter magic with your music leave me speechless. FULL RESPECTS man! I remember when I found my spot a bit away from the crowd,surrounded by the trees, the sky,the stars and you guys hit me with those big-chunky-dirty basslines of tribal. oi! I danced my ass off, every bit the Slave to the beat I is:toothless
It was a truly nice day in the sun at SHIFT. Tas and non Tas alike kicked up a storm ( literally ) lol- I wus covered in dust :)from the white pants to the infamous "Oscar the Grouch" hat. To all the party children who made my day- YOU rule!
Finally- Thanks to the organizers, ALL of you-for putting together an event worthy of rememberance.
c you all at the next big party- prolly on Labour day weekend.
this party child is happily satiated :)

lived in toronto my whole life and this was my first time to cherry beach..
LOVED the atmosphere.. got there and literally sparked a doob right away.. then we ran off to get our drinks sorted and completely forgot about it - LOL. I'm sure it wasn't wasted :D-~
didn't even check out the psytrance area as I was having way too much (drunken) fun to leave.. just socializing and dancing.. (and drinking and drinking)
choons were awesome.. people were great.. dust was crazy.. reminded me of the last time i saw pearl jam @ molson amphitheatre..
memories of this weekend are slowly either becoming clearer or dissapearing completely.. |

you know i fell asleep for an hour on the subway? 4 stops from finch and I made the circuit all the way to union and up again to spadina :wtf:
then slept for 12 straight hours once i got home.. within another 4 hours i took a 4 hour nap..
you ARE a machine d00d.. CUZO-3000 here from the future to make you party forever.. |

I just caught a sample of what sounds like....a great turn-out. Wished I could've stayed longer but I was with Chloe (1st eva TOTA baby :D ) and it was bathtime & bedtime. Great music.. too bad I missed Schryer & Mossey b2b... really wanted to hear that.. as well as JT.
Hopefully there'll be a next one.. and I could stay the entire time.:)
p.s. Still got to see some of u guys at Republik later that night.. lol... what a blast..from what I remember of that night.. which is very little. :wtf: |
