Dual citizenship? (Canadian and British)
View this Thread in Original format

Hey everyone,
I just found out that I might be eligible for dual citizenship as my mom is technically a British citizen. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is worth it to get a British/European passport? Advantages of travelling around there, work, etc etc? Next time I will be back in Europe is to UK and Ibiza next summer.

Cheers,
Terry

I would say the Canada passport is a better one for some coutrys since some of the world hates the U.S. & British.

Sorry guvna!

OK, I'm not exactly sure what are sarcastic posts and what aren't in here? Why should I get as many passports as possible?

dinoXpress, I was thinkin the same thing about it being useful for the EU, but didn't know a lot of the details about what the passport would do for that.

any uk passport (or EU country one) allows you to travel as an eu citizen across any of the member countries, saving a lot of time with immigration etc (at our airports theres a queue for non eu and a queue for EU ones

That's what I thought. Will be good especially for next year then. Only question is say I use my Canadian passport in Canada to get to London. What passport do I show there and what if they see both passports? That won't be a big deal will it?
