well, sure, if you were intyo Hawtin back when he played banging hard techno.... well, you won't like Villalobos. but nowadays (meaning sometimes before to 2004 till this day) what other side is there to Richie if not minimal? |

I've seen him play at a Dutch festival this summer, and his set was absolutely far from minimal.
I'm fully aware of the fact he DOES play a lot of minimal lately, but this set ws definitely not something I'd characterize as minimal. Deep, dark, hard and spacy comes closer :) Really good set, and I consider myself lucky to have been there live, as it was probably one of the pretty few non-minimal sets he's been playing lately..
Heard him together with Villalobos three weeks after at Dance Valley and I had enough after five minutes, of which three or four were spent just getting impressions of the great looking area :) |

what's up people...been checking out T.A. for years now but never registered/posted...anyways I've just recently gotten back into more progressive oriented trance and needed some suggestions so, if i like:
-david west (eye am rmx, larry mountains 54 style not synergy/breaks stuff)
-santiago nino
-alex stealthy (just ordered deploring never heard any of his other stuff)
-orkan-shibuya (got drums rmx)
i'm pretty big on dark, bassy, stuff so anything else someone could recommend along those lines i'd love to check it out.
