Check out this track. Link

I'm told that this could be good if it was mixed properly.

Do you guys know what I might be doing wrong? I don't have monitors right now so I'm pretty much just playing it on 3 sets of speakers and trying to get it to sound good on all of them.

What I did was set the kick at -1db, and everything else lower. The spectrum analyzer looks good. I have Waves L2 on the output channel with out ceiling -0.2, threshold -6.

What does it sound like to you? muddy? grating?

I actually was planning on sending this to some labels, but that would be pointless unless I get this mixed properly.

Thx

first off it's too loud 1:50 hello and welcome to squashville!
basically the tune is just WAY too loud the limiting is hurting your mix, also i can't really tell how well mixed your tune is with that amount of limiting

it is also possible that you have it mixed too loud in your sequencer

I have to agree

Christ...

Slow it down... Yeah bloody loud shat here. Drop a liitle bass in the kick for starters... Compress the master and synths, also if you loose sight of percussion compress that, the perc sounds ok...

I think u got a bass problem...

def too loud... but dude once this is perfected, this track is gonna be ing awsome. I'm totally feeling it, so much energy, I bet Yoji would play this if you sent it to him all fixed up perfect. Can't really give you any advice you're way more advanced than me :)
