STL (again), Astros(3 more times), Cubs, Florida, Atlanta, and San Diego.

Granted, a lot of them are at home, they still have to win 2/3 of these games to stand a chance. Give them a year or two more and another couple of pitchers.

st louis (could beat, maybe not .. closest imo is a series split)
houston (maybe not .. houston is hot .. i like them, but milwaukee deserves the spot more .. although i am also pushing for clemens for nl cy young definately .. )

cubs ( beatable .. the cubs are lifeless and dead right now)
florida ( a head scratcher .. i can't judge the marlins anymore .. the brewers can beat them in a series right now )

atlanta (forget it .. pass to the next team, please )
san diego (beatable .. san diego is pitching and then what ?)

Come on guys, wake up and come back to reality. The Brewers, although much improved this year, should be aiming to not finish last yet again. They are doing a mighty fine job of it this year but at present they are still a losing ballclub (albeit one game under 500). I think Brewer fans should be happy if they finish the season where they are at present because lets face it, you've had some terrible seasons of late (almost 40 games back I think last year). In saying that theres a good chance of winning the next two games with the Cards, a rookie making his debut tonight and Suppan vs Sheets Wednesday.

like i said before...i'd like to see them there...but it won't happen. and i am happy that they're .500 in mid august. for a small market team that has a payroll less than $40 mil, i don't really see what more you can ask for than .500. i can see the playoffs in two years tho...best farm system in the majors.

Ouch.

Indians lost two of three against the DRays and are now 2 back of New York and 5 back of Oakland in the Wild Card chase. Hopefully they can get their acts together for the final push of the season; they were hot this time last year before cooling off at the end of the month...

i am starting to believe now ..

the indians can make it to the playoffs .. then again, the way the white sox are slacking off right now, coming back from 10 1/2 games back is possible for the indians .. :wtf: .. the white sox just lost 5 in a row (however it was against the yanks, but still .. the white sox need to show some kind of strong front) ..

if by the end of august the lead is chopped to at least 7 games, then the indians have the white sox number .. seriously . especially when 13 of their last 17 games of the season are against the twins and indians .. :wtf:

i heard drew carey on espn news talking about what its like to be a cleveland sports fan. it went something along the lines of "its like being 5'2", bald, fat, and having a small dick and wondering why you can't pick up girls" of course they bleeped out dick but it was hilarious.

Cleveland, with win over the Rays last night, is now tied with Oakland and New York for the Wild Card, and with the great equalizer of alphabetical order, they are in first place. It certainly will be an intersting last month of the season...

With a win over the Tigers at home last night, and a New York loss to the D-Rays, Cleveland is now holding the Wild Card spot by half a game. This is the first time the tribe has been the sole possesor of the wild card spot this year.

Two tough home series coming up against the Twins and Athletics should really test their mettle

don't look now ..

but the cleveland indians are now 4 1/2 games behind the chicago white sox ... :nervous: .. cleveland has a clear shot at winning the central, with kansas city coming up in a 3-game series, while chicago faces a shaky, but still good minnesota team over the weekend ..

with the yankees playing well, and the angels and a's playing good, not great, the white sox may not make the playoffs .. :wtf:

bollocks!

I guess you didn't see the glorious comeback the yankees put on tonight! The boys from the Bronx are on a mission and they're not going to let up, even if the Indians play in the JOKE that is the Al Central and have the easier schedule.

Must not be so funny to the Yankees, considering theyd be third if they played in that division. Lets not forget their LOSING RECORD against the central this year. The only mission the Yankees are currently on is to find the television remote so they can watch the playoffs from home. Maybe they'll get lucky and Cleveland will knock off the sox.

Cleveland has 7 games left against Kansas city, and 6 left against each the devil rays and white sox. That provides more or less two oppurtunities to win the division, though I think the wild card is more realistic.
