i totally second the 7West recommendation...amazing joint....nice and cozy...candle-lit with nice music in the background...i used to live on campus in first year (UofT-Victoria College)...and my apartment building was less than 2 mins away...on bay and charles...oh the memories!
theres a billiard club on yonge called V.I.P Billiards thats pretty cool....professional style tables and good food...do try their beef burgers...yummy! oh and its on just south of yonge and gerrard. |

not in the summer... London pub is only good during the school year...
edit: Lilpoonz, next time you're in town we'll pay London pub a little visit... lol... or maybe Rocky Mountain High. |

Smokey Joe's used to be an OK hangout, decent food and drinks, crowd tends to be a bit more mature.
There's a lounge/bar(?) called Faces on Yonge that opened up a year or two ago, that might also be an alright place to hang. I've only been there once, and from what I remember they had that fancier lounge theme going, with dimmed lights, large leather seats etc.
Whenever looking for more of a "bar" place...we usually end up at Slug & Lettuce or Tickled Toad. |

i've been hidin' here a lot lately... very chill, relaxing soviet era vibe... check it out!
also the distillery district is pretty good too in the summer... somewhat touristy, but huge patios and the surroundings make up for it!
