Live in San Antonio, tx. and the trance scene here is small. Was wondering if there are any online resources for people wanting to learn some steps to "trance dancing." I love trance but don't know how to dance to the music. i know this may sound stupid but are there instructional DVDs that teach trance/rave dancing and . If anyone can refer me to something, i would appreciate it so much!!!! Thanks!!!

These are the forms of dancing that I know (for men):

1. Jump up and down while either lifting your left and right arm alternately or just raising your right arm into the air making a fist and hitting an imaginary object that is inf front of you

2. Move from your left foot to your right foot according to beat while making little "punches" about the heigth of your stomach

3. Close your eyes, don`t move your feet but only your upper body while making some "liquid" like move with your arms to the melody of the song

4. Liquid - There once was a thread on how to liquid and there are instruction videos for it. Looks amazing if you know how to do it

5. Do some fast, breakdance like moves. Especially your feet have to move very fast while taking very little space around you. It is very important to stare at the ground most of the time while you do this

Hope this helps :clown:

PS: If this doesn`t help, then watch the TA dancer on the main page ;)

um, just move to the music. And if the tunes are great, give the dj some props and "MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!" (yeah, cliche).

i dont dance at all. i suck at it. some girls tried to teach me before and i just came out with just moving to the music for now. Dont think i will get farther than that.

Grrrrr
Go to events/clubs and copy people. That's how i learnt/am learning. As long as you have got a small amount of rhythm and don't worry about what people think of you (used to be one of my probs) then you'll pick it up pretty quickly
