I have an E-MU 1820M and as you can see from this picture I have no Aux port to plug into from my main mixer "out"

I plugged it into the PHONO port and it obviously is not suitable and the levels are wayyy off.

I was wondering what would be my best option to record with my audio dock?

rca to XLR, rca to 6.35mm? I dont want to be using the headphone input and have loss in quality since this is a high end sound card, any suggestions?

You really seem confused as to what you're capable of doing with this type of equipment and add to that you seem really unclear as to what you want to do as well.

SOOOOO can you be clear with what you want to do?

I'm assuming you want to record a dj set with your mixer and decks unto your computer
1. Rca output on your dj mixer plug it into 1L & 1R; you will need to get RCA cables ( which could be the output type on your mixer ) with regular jacks on the other end

rca into mixer and jack into sound card. You may also have jack or xlr outputs on your mixer in which case you can get a similar cable to the one pictured by with different connectors then RCA
2. If you're trying to record on your computer you don't need an output from that soundcard. If it's plugged into your computer through the EMU pci card you can record from the necessary channels directly. RTFM!

I'm going to assume you also have the pci card installed in your pc?

And apparently you have to use the Patchmix program to select the audio channels http://images.americas.creative.com...ix_callouts.pdf
