Had it for about 5 years now... went to an Orgy concert in a very enclosed space and the intensity of the guitars just destroyed my hearing.
It's pretty high pitched, took a lot of focusing my chi to overcome it. lol
No worries mate, over time it tends to dull down as you get deafer. :toothless |

i have it, at least sometimes...i don't like it.
if it gets worse, i'll look into herbs, medications, etc to fix it.....

I had a simmilar issue once.
Theres a beep in the right ear and every sound I heard was distorted and compressed in some way. So when I heard a sound with high volume it sounded high first and then decreased in volume... It dissapered after 3 days luckly :) |

What do you mean?? I hate when it happends.
Remembered a thing now:
Some years ago a guy sounded a horn pretty close to my ear, I did'nt hear anything after that for some days when it slowly came back... luckly...
(Sorry for my very very bad english :D) |

had it since birth- the only thing i can reference to describe it, is the sound of a TV on (that high pitched whine) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a yr.
not a problem at all- like i said, i was born with it, so dont know any different.
Doesnt affect my hearing at all- in fact its rather good- or affect my djing or anything else. |

| The ringing in my ears is now permanent. As I said before, it's mostly from my car stereo. It was real bad for a couple of months but my brain's managed to tune most of it out, and it's now drowned out almost completely by ambient room noise, but when I turn everything off and lay in bed it's loud and clear... |

Yeah, I hate it too. But I don't have any distortion or compression as you described. And I have it just occasionally, it's not always there as with some people here. So in that respect, I can't say mine is bad. |
