The Grind date
sick sick sick album. Pick it up if u havent already. A must for anyone whos a fan of oldschool hip hop. Featuing artists like common sense Mf Doom and Flava Flav this album is the .
I had heard they came out with a new album abt a year ago but figured it was gonna be some crappy come back album and i never decided to pick it up till today. However i must say im pleasantly surprised, very pleasantly surprised. this album is one of the best ive heard all year. If u like different hip hop, more soulful hip hop. i suggest u pick it up. This kills anything they put out in the early 90's. Im at a loss of words for this album. If any f you have ever respected my taste in Hip Hop i suggest u pick up this album because.. well i didnt want to say it... but i feel i must.... this is a bold statement, i know...here it goes... My favorite album of all time??!?!

licence to ill is the best album of all times, no question asked.
grind date is like a travel back in time, brings back so many awesome memories. this album is hot as a bowl of (good f-in call vivid)
de la soul kicks ass, i remember like it was yesterday when i heard "me myself and i" back in some 93-94 when i was still into punk and i have to thank them to opening my eyes to other musical stylez.
last year they had 2 albums (well not albums but rather some remixes) :
- de la soul : best of (bonus tracks) and on it they had radio version of me, myself and i and it kicked ass
- de la soul : remixes, rarrities and classics and only good song on it was remix of stakes is high, but again its de la soul so i got it.
best work of de la soul was 3 feets high and rising, i still play that mother****** on a weekly basis.
best songs, me, myself and i, Jenifa (Taught Me)<- LOL
good to see that somebody else here appreciate slick rhymes and kick ass old school |

memories of "high-speed dubbing" the tape on my friend's mom's stereo when she wasn't home...because she'd kill us to know we were listening to that when we were in elementary school, LOL. Paul Revere = classic :toocool:
with such high praise, I'll have to get a hold of that De La Soul album and check it out... |
