Don't have an Apple myself but here's what I found...
Command (Apple key) + shift + 3
Screenshot should be either in the root of your startup disk or on your desktop.

| you can also use the program "grab" in your apps. if you have OSX. it's not much different than using the shortcut keys but you can capture a selection, window, screen shot or timed screen shot with it. |
