im out too buy a new pair of decks over ebay and the cheapest 2 ive come across, that il probably get a pair of are the gemini tt02 and the gemsound dj2100. can anyone suggest which deck is better if either? im looking at the tt02's athe moment. thanks for any help

I think the best advice your going to find around here is save more money. Out of those two the gemini would probably be better but it would be much better to just save a little bit more money and go for something like a pair numark TT200s.

This is just my opinion so wait around a bit and see what other ppl got to say.

im trying to keep my options open, but im limited with the amount of money i want to spend. though if heard the TT200's arent that good

I should have put this in my first post but try the search function in the forum.

I wanted cheap decks to start out on but was lucky to practice on a mates set of numark tt1625's before I wanted decks (ok for scratchin i guess, beatmatching out of the question.. sound wobbled BAD every 20s) but i saved my money and just got some 1210's.. I knew I was gonna want the best later on so why not save the money and just get em to be done with.

thing to remember. get what you pay for!! so hang on before you spend that money! I so glad I did. I love my 1210s :D

not trying to pimp 1210s cos I have em. Just trying to warn you bout buying cheaper alternatives. Then again any decks are better than none like driving a banged out car beats walking..

i'd save a little more and get tt200's. they're not bad for the price.

found the tt200's for...

£375.00 GBP (inc VAT)
€545.09 (1 GBP = 1.45356 EURO)

first site I came across. I only paid £420 (second hand) for my 1210's. they can be found for cheaper too. Question is can you justify the price difference between your budget and s/h techs. If your really serious bout dj'in then get the techs :)

That's a wee bit harsh don't you think?

The lad's only trying to see if he likes spinning, a new hobby.

That's all it is to a lot of people by the way, a hobby.

Just because a minority has finally gained (what seems to be an unwelcome) amount of attention, now everyone who has dj'd for a few years seems to be getting on this "I was here first!" attitude..

Anyway, just my 2c

its nice to see some people are nice to n00bs, as you stated it is just a hobby for me at the moment ive been mp3 mixing for a while and thats why i finally want to try djing on turntables (and hay how much harm can a 16 year old cause you "pro" dj's)

thanks for the help i really do wish i could save up for 1210's  ive used them before and they're nice but way out of my price range.

il see how i go with looking for tt200's or similar

Seing as your in aus like me :tongue2.
I suggest not buying anything retail from a store around here, try through people you might now that work at some place or try ebay or trading post just whatever you can find realy.
When i was looking at buying my equipment i figured that everything cost way more then it does overseas.
