Ok... forgive my inability to understand this program, but I am a "true" rookie when it comes to Live. I have been messing around for hours and can't figure it out!! Bear with me..

How the hell do you mix songs from your files together... like if I wanted to make a mix, how do I get the songs to transition from one into the other smoothly??? I know how to get the tracks into the program.. just have no clue how to edit them, or where to put them on the interface to be able to do this.

Someone just walk me through it, pre-school level here! Any help is greatly appreciated.. enough to get me started and I think I can play around from there.

Thanks in advanced!

wasn't there a manual that came along with it when you bought it? Surely they offer a downlaodable pdf...

alls I did was go under the help menu ;)

Live has really nice tutorials. There is one specifically for using Live to DJ. Check it out.

I have already looked at this tutorial, yet it doesn't say, in layman's terms, how to get your songs into it, beat match and mix these songs, how to save them and then record them onto a cd or what not.

Can someone give me a simple, easier to understand walkthrough... anymore help would be appreciated. Forgive me for my ineptness.

the tutorials are actually very imformative, if you take the time and actually go through ALL of them. the "DJing with live" tutorial is based on the information in the previous tutorials. if you cant learn live from its own tutorials, you probably shouldnt be using it.

Maybe I am looking for this program to do something that it was not intended for? I am not DJ-ing live, all I really want to do is make my own mixes and put them on a cd. Is Live capable of this, or should I not waste my time with it and just find a more simple program?
Zild
Live is probably one of the most if not the most simple programs around.

Live is a very versatile program and you can do both production and sets along with its live DJing capabilities. Spend some time with the demo and get aquainted with the program and tutorials and it'll eventually come to you. The manual is your best friend :p
