tis better to say you didnt bring it with you instead
of 'yeh ill play it' and not get around to it..
if u say 'i didnt bring it with you' then the punter
can walk away thinking, i know my tunes better then the
dj..
instead of -
that pompus stuck up, glasses wearing dj didnt play my tune!!

Yeah imagine what it will be like when it's his own birthday and not someone elses ;)
We have 'special' lemonade drink cards for 'special 'people like you mate don't worry.
less than a week out now and i'm getting a tad excited about having sporter back in melburn again.
if anyone was a little confused, in the end we decided not to do presale's therefore simply RSVP for the guestlist and get there nice and early so that you've got eough time to digest your porterhouse (those of you thinking of swimming afterwards need to ensure you wait at least an hour also).

| Does this steve porter dude play anything german? Or will that be left you to Millstein ? |

It's all german these days GMAS ;)
Well Porterhouse has landed.
And oh what a feast we have in store.
As has been our policy in the past we won't be revealing set times before the event. Doors open at 10pm however, and there's plenty of room to get comfy and settle in for a big night.
I can tell you however that we've lined up a great closer for the night with Aaron Roach and Gavin Martin going back to back for the first time in quite a while (back to the old days of @mosphere and the like in the morning).
Of yeah, and there's this Steve Porter guy playing for 3 hours as well
Get those guestlists in by 5pm!
See you on the dancefloor! |

Bah, that 5pm guestlist deadline is far too early for those of us who like to sleep in a bit on Fridays... ;)
Catch you all there! |

So it's taken me until Tuesday night to comment... but what a in' crazy night!

I had to spend the first hour and a half being the good little door bitch i am (quite a number of angry afterwork drinkers who didn't want to pay to get back in when leaving after 10pm but we sorted them out ;)) - Big Kev however put in a great warmup to the warmup :stongue: dropping many of the things that i'd hoped he'd leave me to play a little later on bastard!
I had a blast warming up for Steve (as i always do). Watching the room slowly fill with smiling faces full of anticipation is one of my favourite things :)
And Steve, well he brought the funk, by the truckload. If it was coming from anyone else, i'd almost think it was a little too housey, possibly even cheesy - but he puts it together so well that it's just all about having a whole heap of fun gettin' on down. As he commented to me later "Dude, as all my friends say to me, i definately have the cheese inside of me" :haha:
And Aaron and Gavin Martin brought it home like they used to do back in the @mosphere days with a great set full of many an old favourite. 'One For Your' tore the roof off, 'Ruhe' did much the same, and to finish with 'Be Liquid' was something a little unexpected but really expected all the same.
Props to those who came down yet again to support, and thanks from the PF Crew to Mr Sporter who managed to continue to hold onto the title of our favaourite guest of all.
We're back on the last Friday in September with another very special guest... This time there will be a bit of a techier feel on the menu. |
