TranceAddict Forums Archive > DJing / Production / Promotion > DJ Booth not a happy chappy. snapped a brand new vinyl View this Thread in Original format trancecadet ordered rapid eye - absolut few weeks ago and recieved it but in unplayable condition. it was so warped it made the needle lift off when lightly cued! fair enough i'll send it back (not before attempting to unwarp it with iron/wet towel method and later with 100kg weights but no luck). so off it goes and I recieve a replacement.. now hoping this vinyl would be a much better one im well and truely ed off when i find out it has the exact same warp (identical!!) but was deffo another copy since the last one had a distintive mark.. ok. now im a little cheesed off after having 2 copies of this vinyl and both are unplayable. I start thinking maybe i shud try lightly (and i do actually mean lightly) bending the warp out prehaps? nah.... whole thing snapped into 5 pieces WTF??!?!?! like the whole vinyl was brittle. so now i lost any hope of getting an exhange :( still gonna email the company explaining the situation. not happy! anyone had crap like this?? Freak tell them it arrived damaged...they will claim from the post office. CosmoKid e-mail someone at the label directly. they may help you out. trancecadet cool. ill give em a try too :).. cant really claim it snapped in the post since the package is pretty strong. it wasnt totally brittle but i tested 5 vinyl (old ones at that) and bent em till I almost folded it! So it shudnt of snapped. its in a fair few more pieces now though. was bending bits to see it it would snap but it just bends :conf: Inertia should have tried the 2 pieces of glass/sun method. either way. sucks.
