Good freeware for recording on Mac?

Hey everyone -
Well, the TSA fried my old laptop a few weeks ago on the way to Detroit, and so I just got my new iBook, and the only complaint I've got about it is that there is no recording software. My old laptop came pre-loaded with Sound Studio, which was sick because it was just a simple, easy to use recording/editing program I could use to record sets. Now I don't have it, and I guess I'm just a little tight on money at the moment, so I can't afford to just drop the $50 on the license at the moment, but I'd like to get back up and running as far as recording goes.
If anyone has a recommendation on decent freeware for recording, I'd really appreciate it, because right now, I've got nothing...

*Oh and as a side note, I'm recording from an M-Audio Firewire Audiophile... don't know if that's necessary pertinent information, figured it couldn't hurt thought. Thanks again. |

I have no money whatsoever... that's why It might take me a while to send those programs to you... so if you really need them I can just upload them to my server so u can just download them!
