Get ready for the next generation of club sound systms.They are working on 5.1 systems for clubs,although I dont see the point of this since almost all dj's are used to only using left and right channels.Unless you are using ableton because with ableton you can have as many as channels you want and you can send them to any desired channels on the 5.1 systems.Although I havent heard any clubs using this as of yet the idea sure is amazing.but I could see this having lots of problems.
for example in a club you are always moving around,where as in a theater you sitting down so there for you can experience the real 5.1. So I wonder how they can do that in a club.

I have been moving so much in recent years that considering any kind of work like that would be a waste of money due to the short lived usage it would have.
Right before I moved to Europe from the US back in january ( I wasn't expecting to move that early ... ) I was working on getting a higher end tv ( well "high" end at around 800 bucks ) and getting everything setup well .... thankfully I didn't drop the cash cause it would have been a waste ! :( |
ya a good monitor is a must and you can spend more then $5000 on them.
I say save the money and treat your room and then see which monitors suits you the best. :)

Oh and simply stated... 900 watts isnt that much either if your talking raw power.
Then again I have been infront of 20,000 watt systems that sound lick dick because they arnt setup right, and I have been infront of 5000 watt systems that sound golden because they are setup well and tuned right. |
Power is power and suddenly Logitech power, no matter what the wattage is suddenly by your word of mouth no good? You have never told us what you run on your computer either, Nou. Now why is that? You've been more than critical of my system. We can only assume you have something small, yet balanced as you say, for the space you are listening in which is probably small as well in your parent's home.
Now WTF is this about 20K systems? Certainly you're talking about large amphitheaters and the like and not a bedroom in a house like I'm talking about. Apples and oranges. Tell us something worthwile for a change.

5.1 in a club is lame.
Most movie theaters usually aren't that great and they're supposed to be wonderful well talk about clubs haha which usually invest the bare minimum in sound on average unfortunately!
I don't see that taking off at all :-/
I'm not against the idea I just don't see it being done well.
And humm monitors you could easily hit the 50K $ mark and then add 2 to 3 grand just for the speaker cables ..... One day maybe! |

mp4's are crazy around half the size of mp3's yet quality is around 320kbs |

ya achieving 5.1 at a club is really pointless.I guess they just want to create surround effect which they already can I think it is called decrete surround?
question: Do most of the clubs have mono or stereo system?or do they have both options?
