Iv been letting it slide for a while but now its starting to anoy me a bit, whenever i pick up my tonarm and move it around i can hear lots of clicks and pops with the cart attached and without (more severe with the cart attached though)
Would this just be because the contacts need to be cleaned? If thats the case whats the best way to clean them; what chemicals are safe and what should i use to clean them? |

i'm probably wrong, but to me it sounds like the leads inside the tonearm are shorting out. If that's the case the only thing i know to do is replace the tonearm assembly. But im most likely wrong and misunderstood your question b/c i'm going on 20hrs+ now. If it's just the contacts in the headshell mount, you can try to use isopropel alcohol and water w/ a q-tip to clean it.
PS, check out the crazy thing i found out about shure whitelabels and m44gs in the "i ****ing hate whitelabels" thread. |
