Solid night. Maybe a little crazier at boa than usual. Saw a few more really messed people. There was a fight (which I missed) and other crazyness. Absolutely made up for by the top notch tunes.

Sean did a great job on the open set.. got everyone movin' can't remember any tracks..

LES. DAMN. really dirty music. dancing like a madman.. check.

trentmoller - beta boy (nice spot Graham)

four to the floor (super slow!)
into
gech nocht (also super slow!)

DIIIIRTY!! tons of other dirtyness abounded throughout the set.

stayed till about 8.. legs were ruined but the tunes were awesome.. in millers closing set he dropped

his new production.. sick track - thanks Jeff for pointing it out.
worry
dirty freak
edit. and mr. roboto

if you guys had energy you shoulda stayed.. there was a bunch of other great tunes dropped too.

The Low End Specialists certainly played very well. I was impressed. I heard many of my current favourites played last night.

Trentmoller - Betaboy
For Sale - Buy Now
Lower East Side - Sword Fight

There is more that I can't remember right now.

Sean dropped Filthy Rich - Dirty Freak? ! I wish I stayed a little longer.

Although the tunes were good, I was definately not feeling the crowd. There were way too many twacked out people in there. It seemed like the only people dancing in the whole club were people from our group. LES and Sean were dropping dirty tunes, and it seemed to have no effect at all on the crowd.

I saw the 1st real fight (I've seen 1 short pushing match) in my almost 3 years of clubbing last night. I was not impressed to see that at all. Such a total buzz kill. If you're the type of person to fight, don't come to afterhours clubs. You don't belong, and we don't want you here.

I've seen full on fights at guv and totally messed up crowds but I don't think I've ever seen the Boa crowd the way you describe. It really is very shocking... Still sad I had to miss LES but I was too exhausted.

To anyone that likes tunes, this night was perfect.

Not only that I made ANOTHER best friend in Ali.

And I think my 10 dollar Turbo shirt is the best thing ever bought. I get people from all walks of life gravitating to it and telling me their reasons for liking it.

Does anyone know the first track that Ali played?

Something that talks about a Razor...cuts like a razor...

pretty sure your talking about 'Deepsky - Talk Like A Stranger'
jon jon
yeah I guessed "Talks like a Stranger" right away, and apparently no, it's a male vocal.

meh

good night. I hadn't been out in a while, so I was ready to go nuts no matter what was going on around me, which I guess contributed to the fact I didn't notice the crowd, or really care about the fight. LES set wasn't structured the best, there were some heavier grungy electro tracks which seemed too far a jump when mixed with the tribal they had pounding out. However, the tunes they did play were all pretty heavy bombs, and who am I to complain when the DJs play nothing but hard all night long?

I summary: Went to boa, had a good time. What else is new?

Oh, and I loved the added sound with the new speakers, I'm becoming way too much of a clubbing vet when I walk into a club and instantly know the sound system was improved since the last time I weas there.

Tordan
The last time I was at Boa was for BBB. Were these new speakers put in after that?

apparently it was 2 weeks ago is what jeff told me. I hadn't been since chus and ceballos in april [blasphemy for me, I know], so it would have been a complete mystery for me to pin down the time of installation without jeff's help.
