I made this track around October of 2004. I have been eager to share it with you all since then.
As always, I welcome and appreciate any criticism and/or praise.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to check out my track.

Some things that are coming to mind:
- the snare sample sounds not so good. Try changing the sample, or layer it with another sample. I think it needs more punch, therefor you need some compression on it maybe.
- The first synth sounds too thin and metallic. Try another waveform, maybe lower the cutoff a little.
- I like the synths in the breakdown.
- You maybe got to add another percussive element to make this more driving. You should also consider adding a driving hihat (every 1/16). But then again, I think I like your rythm, but I think it definately needs another element.
- the fill FX with the bongos is quite cool.
- Overall production is quite solid.
Conclusion: Enjoyable tune, needs some redesign for some of the synths, and a better percussion tho. I'd give it 6.5/10. |

This one sounds a bit too happy for me. Try and use some darker melodies, and use some better drum sounds.
I think the snaredrum is good, but the other sounds are too thin. |

happy? im gonna have to disagree with you there nytrancescene. Sure its not dark and foreboding but i tried to display more emotion in my song than just happiness.
Telling me to make songs with a dark melody i think is ridiculous . the song is what it is. i make what i would like to hear and in the hopes that others can enjoy it as well. i appreciate the criticism but telling me to make darker melodies doesnt help me at all. now, your advice about the sounds i used, that helps. and i agree but sometimes you gotta do your best with what resources are at hand.
nontheless, thanks for taking the time to listen and post. even though we may disagree i respect your opinions. and whether i realize it or not i will probably keep your ideas in the back of my mind.

Actually I think, this one doesnīt sound soooo happy. ;)
But to be serious, I think, this one tries to use kinda too much elements.
First I thought, I would listen to kind of Remix of "Flight 643".
Your baseline 2:19 doesnīt fit to the rest of the song so far.
The bass at all is not bad, but not really impressive, too.
I like your breakdown at 3:20. This one sounds really good. Had fun with this part. :) The strings are sounding really nice and this little melody at 4:16 is nice indeed.
But the part that follows after your breakdown was getting boring, I think. Donīt like the melody. Itīs just too simple, to be interesting.
But nevertheless, I would say, none bad tune. Keep going on. :cool: |

| u-worm thanks for checking it out. i was inspired by cosmic gate's track ultra curve for this one. in their track they mix similar elements that are in mine. you give good advice. ill keep them in mind with a rework. ive got some good ideas in my head. thanks for the reply as well. |
