Question of the day:

Why dose the F.B.I. concentrate on normal people doing no real harm to the society...(i am talking about the bust
on several release groups).. instead of finding out where Bin Laden really is and preventing new attacks..

Right now there are rumours Bin Laden fled to Pakistan.. What is the USA gonna do now? Bomb pakistan.. if only they
wouldve used their intelligence on REAL terrorism and not on the WareZ scene which isnt life threatening

If you dont have a clue what im talkin about

(you can read even more in the links @ the bottom)

Todays newspaper said that Bin laden probably fled 10 days ago to pakistan..

heh

I could write a loooong post re: this but gonna TRY to keep it short and simple.

Law agencies have been after particular individualz for few years now. They got everything they needed to make the arrests recently (especially with the Patriot Act). This has always been a threat to the groups...sad actually that it happened to certain prominent people. The *ahem*scene*ahem* will definitely not be the same.

Concentrating on International affairs doesn't mean, national affairs get unnoticed...there have been more narcotic busts as well (due to higher level of screening of mails).

In closing, don't believe all the media hyped bulls**t...

blah
/me takez a moment of silence for the people affected.
Henkie_henk
eh yeah but the international and national terrorism has been going on for years 2..

Maybe setting prioritys would be nice.. instead of helping mr gates out..
SYNthSRI
Mr. Gates and the other big heads are who put money in the fat pigs pockets...which makes up the priorities for this great country called U S of A.

Now -- priorities of this country are, in itself, one big en joke...but ah well like there is anything you OR I can do about that.

So the FBI shudnt botha doin nething xcept lookin 4 bin laden until hes found?

yeah that sounds like a good idea... im not sayin that i agree with the crack down on mp3z... the crack down on warez howeva is much mor understandable.

you know it's still very funny cos i can go ahead and burn tons of software cd's from friends....and i could presumably offer them on ftp's and such just like anyone else.....sooooo.....they really think that they'll stop the flow of illegal software???? this is so ridiculous, it's like they're in a Nirvana i mean....it's stupid to think they can stop something like this.....

so bin laden ran off to Pakistan heh???? nice! boy, we got some great "intelligence" ppl working here if this really happened....

>JM<

it's disappointing when our elected officials and government heads are acting stupid....makes me wonder

Well, this is just plain annoying to me.

I mean, I understand the whole reasons for "cracking":whip: down on the warez community. My only gripe is that the government is going after something that they can actually do something about. I mean their war on drug is a complete failure, and now crime is rising again. The war is something out of our hands for now.

So what's left? I bet that they make this bust so public that we as internet users get freakin' annoyed. While it lures in new and maybe more capable users. This bust sucks bug time, because it took out some major warez suppliers. Like I said though, this will bring on more and more users. Our government doesn't know how to fight a internal war. It attacks it like a conventional war, and that's where it will always fail.

I give them this though, they thought "outside the box" with this bust. We will all survive, but I just wished they would use all this unlimited resources on something a little more life threatening. Warez? come on.

the fact remains.... what we do in """THE SCENE""" <-- like its this huge secret world of thieves haha.. anyways, its still illegal.. things are gonna change, and for our kids and even our siblings who are 10 years younger, its gonna be harder for them to get what they want. The only thing that is keeping our generation in "THE SCENE" is p2p now. Everything else, at least for me, has become useless. p2p changed everything, napster was targeted, and soon other networks will and soon out illegal underground "world" will be gone. but never really, there will always be ways to get what you want so whats the matter. So the FBI misuses its manpower, so what, thats how government it in general. so there, thats my story and im sticking to it. good fight, good night!

money makes things happen... unfortunally the USA wants too much things to happen, if u get what i mean... capitalism aint right, its not about ppl no more, its about money... no, ill just stick to a democration, like we have it here, ppl first, money after... also weird fact, Holland is not as money-centered as most countries, but still we r one of the wealthiest countries on the planet...

and Henkie... do u have any idea how much money not only Billy Bob Gates, but also governments, stores, employees dont get because of illegal software?? were talking bout BILLIONS here!!

not that i wont stop burning though ;)

and you got this information from the BSA n DOJ saying that right?
heh, get over it fella, they are taking into account that people who actually downloaded programz such as 3DStudio Max would actually go out and BUY it...now you tell me, if you would plop down thousand buckz to get this program? yea, okay! Don't believe everything you read.

Furthermore, you really think spreading software is as simple as just copying the original cd and giving that over? You seem to forget copy protections on CD...software AND hardware. I would like to see you try to break/crack the various copy protection schemes that are out there. Soon the various protection schemes are going to be implemented in the music industry as well (not VINYLs..cuz wel self explanatory)...and good luck to the Avg. AOL'er JOE ripping the CD s/he just bought from the corner record store.
