Creating Flyers

yeah, um, so... do any of you guys use any special programs to make your own flyers or am i looking in the wrong place?? i've seen some people on here post flyers for their own parties and have made them themselves.. so far a friend of mine recommended 'lightscape' i've been using Photoshop quite a lot and am getting tired of it i want to try something new.. any ideas?

see thats what i'm talking about! those designs are seriously profesh lol i would love it if i knew what program she used on that and if its all original work or something.. nice flyers though..

Flyers like that are easy to do, just find some pics of w/e you want to advertise and throw that in photoshop with a couple layers and do some experimenting.

btw you can try quark xpress and illustrator.

Wow, I really like her work. I like how she uses simple fonts and little glitz and glamour to make a badass flyer!!!

Here in San Antonio, promoters make BS flyers that cater to cheesy club patrons. They're horrible!!!

I have been playing with Photoshop and like it. I'm still trying to find my way around it.

Quarkxpress is cool but mostly used for Layout/photo placement.

I can imagine her doing the flyers totally in Illustrator or some other vectorbased application just because the font and artwork look very *crisp* and nonpixelated. then again only she knows for sure.

stay away from quark! lol it's one of the worst programs i've ever used..but it's not really used for these types of stuff anyways..it's used mostly for editorials where there is heavy type usage..
i usually combine photoshop + illustrator :)

i know some photoshop progam does. not sure if it's PS or Image Ready or After Effects.
