Speaking of anime... what the feck is up with Naruto?

I stopped watching at around... ep 143 or something.
What happened to this Great anime? After the big showdown with Naruto and Sasuke, it stopped being interesting. I also heard the manga is catching up with the anime, so there will be tons of filler episodes. :(
I HOPE they do something as great as the Zabuza episodes again. They were the main reason I stuck with the show for so long. |

Yep, that's gonna destroy it completely. That ing sucks. At least we got to see the original.
@manga readers: Did they ever show Kakashi's face? There's a filler episode where they all try to see his face, but they fail. |

After Sasuke won the fight and left, the anime went into filler episodes (stuff that wasn't actually written by the creator in the manga). They're still doing that.
In the manga, about 2 and half years have passed and a lot of the characters look a bit more grown up with their new outfits and all. Naruto returned from training with Jiraya (he eventually shows off that he learned how to do something called the Spiral Rasengan - one or two steps above what he was able to do before) and now Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi have set off to the Sand's hidden village. All the while, the Sand is attacked by 2 of the Akatsuki (the group that Itachi is part off. These 2 are named Sasori and Deidra) and Gaara loses (after a really cool fight.. and after you find out he was the Sand's Hokage) and is captured. Right before they get away, Kankuro tries to stop them but he gets obliterated by Sasori. You then find out that it was Sasori that made the puppets that Kankuro used so he knew everything about him. Also, Kankuro was injected with some poison that would kill him in a few days. By this time, Sakura has already completed most of her training with Tsunade so she's a medical ninja. When they get to the Sand village, Sakura is able to heal Kankuro (and make a few vials of anti-venom based on that poison) and everyone is made aware that Gaara was kidnapped. Eventually you see them set off and they meet up with Gai's team. They find the hideout after fighting some imposters of Itachi and Kisame (that fish guy with a sword that's alive). Meanwhile, there is a meeting of all the Akatsuki (save Orochimaru who is no longer part of them) inside that cave and they already have Gaara in there. They're trying to suck out the ichibi (one tail) from him and they end up succeeding thereby (apparently) killing Gaara (the body is still there... no soul, I guess). However, there is a scene that shows that there's a possibility that the ichibi and Gaara's souls were somewhat fused during their short time together. Anyways, back to the outside. Gai's team finds the scattered seals that open the door and destroy them at the same time causing an ambush (and that's where they're still at right now, I beliefe). In the meanwhile, the others rush in and just happen to find Sasori and Deidra. Deidra takes off with Gaara's body and Naruto and Kakashi follow. At this point in the manga, they're ready to attack Deidra however they're still planning on what to do (since they're chasing him, at the moment). Back in the cave, Sakura is left with Chiyo-baa (an elder from the Sand who needed to follow the group when she found out that Sasori was nearby. Later on you find out that she's Sasori's grandmother) and they duke it out with Sasori. Chiyo-baa is also, apparently, a puppet master and uses Sakura to fight Sasori. Eventually they get the major puppet off his body and you see what is a young boy's head where an old person's should have been (only last chapter did we find out that he turned his body into a deadly puppet itself... so that's why his head still looked so young). The fight continues and you find out about how evil Sasori was growing up. He turned the 3rd Hokage of the Sand into his puppet and eventually ends up using him in the fight (He is, only recently, later on defeated). He also turned his parents into puppets (Chiyo-baa uses them to defend her and Sakura later on, but recently in the manga) when he was only a child. So basically, where we are now is they're still fighting in the cave (Sakura has been poisoned during the fight but used her anti-venom which would give her a few minutes to fight before the poison made her ill... and there's like a minute left at this moment in time), Naruto and Kakashi are ready to fight with Deidra, Gai and his team are still fighting copy ninjas, and the council at the Sand are happy that Gaara is gone because he instilled fear in the community. We still don't know where Sasuke or Orochimaru are so... yeah. And just reminding you: It's been nearly 3 years so within a few months, Sasuke's body will be accessible to Orochimaru.

i stopped reading the manga because the 'excitement' of a new naruto episode was lost when i knew what was going to happen.
now however we're stuck with the fillers. i thought it'd just last a few episodes but its gone on and on and on.
the kakashi storyline in the manga wasnt even that great. theres currently nothing to really look forward to, but ill stick with it. im not a quitter:D |
