Dj Kenosis - Orbis Tertius II, melodic psytrance/tech & dark epic trance, 192 kbps
View this Thread in Original format
DJ Kenosis
I made this one yesterday and am pretty pleased with the result.
This is the trance I like now. Most of it is psytrance or tech trance, but there is some epic thrown in there too (e.g. my track).
I put my track on there as well as Pjotr G's. Alegria also has a really cool sample from "Memento" that goes very well with the title of the mix.

If you liked Orbis Tertius from last October you'll definitely like this one.

Orbis Tertius II

(description from my site)
-----------
This mix, the second installment of Orbis Tertius (The Illusory World), represents my current style of trance: dark, driving, psychodelic, relentless... It begins with Another World, gradually building in speed and energy, through euphoric turns from my own track "Lynx" and my favorite track of the year, Oliver Prime's remix of Netherworld, to melodic and then full on dark psytrance from Electric Universe and Sharigrama. It ends with the mesmerizing AR52 track 'Piiska' and the haunting Steve Birch remix of Attention.

Tracklisting

Joop - Another World
Modena - Resonator
Ron van de Bueken - Sunset
Kenosis - Lynx
LSG - Netherworld (Oliver Prime remix)
Private Productions - Sexdrive (M & B instructor's remix)
Psycraft vs Dj Highguy - Alegria
Sidhartha - Sudden Shifts
Electric Universe - Meteor (2004 remix)
Sharigrama - Mexican Mushroom
The Misted Muppet - Spiritual Visions
Pjotr G vs. Jay Rico - Schulten

btw your site looks great. im trying to get a site for myself. nothing over-the-top you know? something simple and to the point; similiar to yours. you dont have to tell me exactly what you did but how did you create your site? any specific software used?

you dont need any specific software to build a website .. they only help really to simplify writing the code .. otherwise a plain text editor like notepad can be used .. i use editplus myself .. has highlighting for syntax .. though if you are a noob id start with either ms frontpage or (more advanced) dreamweaver ..

on a side note .. the joop track makes a good opener :)

hehe, I knew you would respond. Honestly, I think OT I was maybe a bit better (I did this one in a bit of a rush, and my track still isn't finished), but I'm happy with the direction it's going (even further away from commercial trance).

Comments?

Ooops .. completely forgot to comment, despite leeching and enjoying the mix! It's a really tight mix, once again quality is superb and the mixing sounds flawless.
I think I enjoyed the tunes from OT I better, because there were some songs there that completely killed me (e.g. Dj Dyno - Ghost in the Shell ) but the songs here are still really strong. Good to see you've included your own tune in the mix to, I think it works really well where it is in the set!
By the way, anybody got a .cue file for this mix??

THE_Chris
Im getting this :D
