If you mean viewing the waveforms, just switch of the "keep on disk" flag for that sample.
Anything more you want to know? :-P I've been using FL for 3 years. Started playing around with version 2.5 or something. From v. 5 it's been better than Reason IMHO!!! |

| all they need to do is fix the bugs imo.. dunno if its just me byt they are killing me. every now and then i have to reinstall it / reboot blah blah blah... |

Anyways... @ dj jasonF, I was bothered before, but not recently! I found out that the problems often is the VST's if the program crash. |

nah i think there are some problems in fl studio 5 with regards to recording from hardware. i get a load of these glitches on my virus b.
i dont think it sends midi clock properly under middle to high cpu loads because my virus b starts to playback all spazzed up. it also records in this spazzed up state - i posted a soundfile ages ago on these forums and over at sunesha's forum just to show how messed up it sounds. using more than 1 midi channel in fl studio from virus b multimode also causes it to go nuts - triggers notes in the wrong order, at the wrong time and sometimes with a delay that lasts several seconds. the answer? none of them really understood why my virus b was messing up. but i was the only one using fl studio and i havent had the problem fixed despite contacting m-audio (i have a 1010) and access. never got a reply from the floops folks but some of the people on the forum suggested it was an engine related problem.
its nothing life stopping though. i get around it by recording from my virus in separate flp files and whilst recording clean (minimum cpu load). then adding effects on it after. then reimporting into the track. you have to change the way you work but its not so bad really. after 1 year of doing things this way its starting to feel normal.
but it would be nice to see this problem resolved at some point. |

I agree with you wim.. really not worthy of a v6 full release...
and how about a nice clean gui option? Something that screams PROFESSIONAL.. so that if you have someone over for a recording session or something they dont go.. WTF when they see that.

| i checked out their website forums, and these are only stuff that are being made for newer releases of FLStudio, not FLS 6 especially.. Release date is being speculated, seems like late sept-mid oct is what seems to be the guess around there.. |

About that GUI, I've been working on a skin for FL 5.0, but FL has sucky skin-support! It's really hard to make decent skin due to the odd method ImageLine has chosen. I'll give it another try when FL 6 comes out. I was thinking something in the same style as that new "Dynamic Loops" interface. I really like that look. It's sleak, clean and pro.! =)
Anyone wanna help out on a future project? I've been working with Adobe Photoshop for 6 years, and I would like to work with someone that has much experience. Just PM me.
I think it would be cool to release something like that. FL hasn't had a decent skin update, EVER! :-P Always that same boring looking interface. Every attempt i've seen on creating a skin has either been ty, or just partly good.
Hope someone will join me in this battle against a "noobish" looking interface! |
