Why keep all that information smushed between all our threads when they can have an area all to themselves. This way, threads wont need to be bumped every 2 days. |

What if the NYC section got a separate area, like they do in the Toronto area for Event threads for people to post their parties. We have DC, Boston, Phili & NYC parties getting posted in here... so it will just clean up the area a bit. |

Were not exactly leaving you out, but as far as promoting goes, rarely do you see parties from CT in here.
But again, to reiterate the purpose of this thread...
It is to take all the promoting that goes on this area and give it a seperate area, so that all the parties are in one area and you dont have to sift through a bunch of pages to find what youre looking for. Everything is there and its easy to find. |

The politically correct answer for this would not be a recreation of something that already exist. The 2005 Party Planner Thread is/was designed for this, except, people feel that "THEIR" party should deserve the attention of where most of the traffic on this site belongs to (in this case, regional traffic). Yes it helps their guestlist bring in more tally marks and yes they get advertising space by signing up, but as a community without an active mod, the best way to go about it is to keep it the way things are.
an active mod is like a dictator, the power to move and delete threads will divide and destroy this community. it's better we just leave it as it is, we are all familiar with each other and know what might appeal to one another. if something doesn't appeal to you, maybe consider it as a learning experience...trust me i've called many a spammer in my time and many times people have filled me in about these djs and ultimately i've learned about it.
my vote is to stop making polls which calls for action to establish some presence of a mod in this community. we are civil enough to keep it the way it is and police it was need be. right? |
