| Because it is a better mixer. What do you mean when you say that you use the gains to mix? |

| I've used both mixers for over a year now. I love the numark over the pioneer. The crossover on the pioneer has no adjustment whatsoever and the upfaders and crossfaders are made of some cheap light weight plastic. The pioneer only has one set of vu meters which makes it hard to keep track of the volume. And toggling between the headphone cue becomes annoying especially when you are mixing outside and can't see if the lights are illuminated or not. The numark on other hand is only 250 and provides kill switches too. Don't get me wrong the pioneer is an a solid mixer thats built well. But it has not features all it does it miscount bpms and crossfades between channels |

Doing a froggle search pulled up very good prices for the DXM06.. 170+ free shipping maybe.. not too sure.. all in all about $200. I dunno, i've got a Numark 2000X or was that the 2002X.. nevermind, the one without the kill switches.... so yeah.. the x-fader bled when i got it.. (2nd hand).. so i got a replacement.. it was an easy replacement.. just remove and replace..
I'm looking at the DXM06.. seems like you can't replace the faders at all.. i mean, there is no "plate" to remove.. anybody know about replacement faders for the DXM??? ... or better still anybody know of mixers that have replaceable faders?... budget is around the same price as the DXM 06.. therefore around.. $200?? |

| I know the numark has to have replaceable faders because it has the screws on the faceplate..and i think i read it on the website where i bout it from. all you have to do is remove the faceplate by taking of the fders (the come out pretty easily) and then unscrew the fact plate and then you have access to everything. |

| Well.. i'm looking at the Pics, but it seems like there isn't a plate for the DXM06....hmm |

On the DJM-300S you can toggle between master output and the individual outputs for the channels. FX on a Mixer should only really be used by those who can beatmix flawlessly. Otherwise they end up making the Mix sound a lot crapper!
I'm personally quite happy with my DJM, I'm pretty rough with my Mixer so I need something built like a tank, and able to withstand a bit of abuse. |

| in the booth where i used the pioneer to mix with, i had no monitor speakers. I only had the ones that were for the crowd to listen, so i had to switch from cueing the track with both songs on the headphones and then listening to the master...it got annoying just spedning half a minute just switching between the headphone listening modes. I ended up switching to the numark for the performances. |

its sweet | You lose. you cant replace the faders and they crack like a mother. ive opened mine up. you cannot replace the faders. only the crossfader if you take off the top of the mixer.
im sorry you were sucked in by numarks amazing advertising, smooth looks, and built in effects.

dinoXpress : all your posts are idiotic at best
it almost seems like you work for pioneer
first of all, your last comment about looks/ads/etc is odd...
it seems like you are jealous because you probably own everything pioneer and are on the bandwagon, while numark is trying to use a pricing strategy in order to penetrate the market...their turntables and mixers are much cheaper than pioneer, and offer sound quality that is AT THE LEAST equal (but better) than the pioneer mixers
their ttx-1's are very recent technology and are more accurate than the tech's, which are like 20 years old!
pioneer is just hanging on to its name
and you say the effects are pointless? well the sampling effects and beatkeeping techonlogy (which DESTROYS pioneer's useless bpm counters) is accurate and useful, for a dj who knows how to use it, but that's the whole point isn't it...to use it wisely, so the technology is there with a numark mixer
i have a Numark 5000fx and it's a brand new mixer with brand new technology and I am oh so glad i got it, at almost half the price of a DJM 600 that i was going to get
and whata hell do you mean 'pio=more power'...is your mixer built for demolition derby or something????
ps: i go for quality of each product line, as i do have a pair of cdj800's so i recognize where they are strong, however numark has a lot to offer |

| Please don't spread misinformation. TTX1s are in no way shape or form more accurate than SL1200s. End of story. |
