I was there obviously!
Its was awesome,the place was packed of people,we had a perfect weather,music was great,beer was good,nice people.
Mini was great as usual,played good beat.
Misstress did a crazy set until 11hpm? something like that,but i'd stayed until 9h30. She played lots of good electro,acid,minimal tracks.
Its the second years,that misstress do the Picnik and its the second years,that she bring lots of people. Mini brought also her crowd,so it gaved a lot of party people! Last year YAZ opened for barbara,that was nice too.
Its nice to see barbara in events like that or nightclub like Club Soda or Parking ,but I wish to see her back at Aria or circus with her electro-acid-minimal-style. I Got awesome nights at aria. |

Good to hear man, I really would have liked to have checked this out, but had to keep my energy for Howells/Diggers that night.. next time :D !

even nicer nights seeing her at Meganite opposite Chris Liebing @ Privilege in Ibiza :tongue2 . We represented Montreal amongst the throngs of Italians and Spaniards..and at least she acknowledged us ! :happy2: |

1- I did piknik 3hpm until 9h30pm,beers,sun and dancing.
2- Relaxed,eated and went to digweed/howells until 11h15,all night with my friend who kept me dancing and awake...mr Redbull (the drink)
So you're not a big dancer as I can see,but you're lucky to see barbara playing at Meganite with Liebing! :cool: |

damn, that's intense, I wish I had that much endurance!! I definitely like to dance, don't get me wrong, but I gotta sleep b4 at some point, otherwise it's lights out pretty early on :sadgreen:. All the red bull in the world won't help ;) .
Ya Meganite was really chill, her Iturnem roadie dude was from Montreal too and hooked us up for her to sign our stuff, and with Liebing in the booth in the middle of the swimming pool at the same time, it worked out as well! Best part was Liebing turning Miss B's monitors towards the crowd (they rotated) to get a reaction, and each time misstress Barbara would have a hissy fit and turn them back cuz she couldn't hear her next mix. He kept doing it over and over, till I guess she got pissed and kicked him out HAHA :haha: |

I was there at the piknic from 2pm - 11pm. I danced and danced like I haven't danced in months. At the end of her set, she even ventured into a bit of deep house, and everyone just put their heads down and boogied. (well...I did, anyways!)
It was such an incredible vibe and I wish I was still there...dancing...under the fireworks and the stars and with you awesome people of Montreal.
When she played spastik, you could tell all of her hardcore techno fans...most of the people continued to dance along, but then there were some like myself that were screaming...remembering the old days of barbara and hard techno and aria and all of that. Spastik will never get old! :)
Thanks to the organizers, and the fans, and barbara of course...it was again my favorite event of the year and I will definitely be back if she plays again next year. |
