Although electronic music was inevitable, without Moog it never would have evolved the way it did. All those records you love are filled with sounds that were made possible by Moog's circuits and designs. Just about every synthesizer made in the past 35 years has pretty much been a variation on his Modular designs or the Minimoog - both of which are considered some of the finest synthesizers ever made and are the standard by which all other synths are judged.

I heard about his condition for a while now but it's apperantly the end for Moog, I wish his family the strength to get through this tough time.

Signed. I grew up near where he was doing his work. Although never got to meet him, I remember thinking how cool it was to be just over the hills from someone doing something so amazing.
