Growing up in England the american dream was to own a car such as a firebird camaro or mustang and the holy grail a vette
maintenance was a bitch and was the equivelent of trying to keep an italian exotic on the road evenoil filters and spark plugs were high ticket special order items
so once i ventured to this side ogf the pond the passion got the better of me
most of my friends drive german cars , which i find funny as coming from europe i have had enough of those to last a lifetime
also love japanese cars especially JDM such as a skyline--one day!!!!

But I wouldn't mind getting a Mini Covertible...looks like fun

I was gonna get one of those....then I saw the $44,000.00 price tag and decided maybe not.

I am waiting for my Pontia Solstice to hit the market.

It's a wicked looking car...but the GM part of is what I don't like...when you buy a Mini you're buying a BMW (practically)...a sign of German excellence and quality...when you're buyin a Pontiac, you'er buying GM which will lose it's value faster than you blink...and will probabbly proceed to fall apart quickly. I heard a lot about GM's improvements over the years, but as a GM owner I doubt I'll ever buy an American car again...at least a GM one...:nervous:

Actually, Mini ranked just above Kia for most problems per 100 vehicles.

They are only designed (mostly) and owned by BMW. They are built in England (not exactly quality central), and the engines are made by Chrysler, in Brazil.

Still want a Mini?

But anyway, I'd love a Saturn Sky roadster or the new MX5. Perhaps a slightly used Mazdaspeed MX5...

Hahah, yeah.

On another note, at this point in time with me having a 45 minute one-way commute to school, fuel economy is a huuuuuge deciding factor in my vehicle... I recently read this:

http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/pw/50-litre.htm

...and that pretty much sealed the deal that a Civic is the way to go for fuel economy, quality, and value for my time spent to and from school.
