i can move the mouse but when i let it go it starts moving |

| i had the same problem...make sure the cord isnt isnt tugging on the mouse, pulling it. |

Doesn't sound serious. Get another mouse and plug it in. They do go bad sometimes.

also try switching ports if you have a converter (many mouses come with them).
mouse port <--> usb port
that solved the problem when i had it. |

| Mine does that, but I think it's because the optical doohickey is fux0red. Though if you unplugged yours and it was still doing it that's a tit bit wacky. |
