:p

if your gonna leave in the 10s it might be cool to get a crossover, I think they are called. They seperate the lows mids and highs. You can set it so the 12s get teh really low end while the 10s carry a sound closer to the mids.
think about it man!. |

I don't know if you can get Syrincs boxes wherever you live, but they are DAMN loud and quite well-sounding too.
http://www.syrincs.com/new/bp12.htm
there's a box with a 12" that delivers 119-125 db
or if you have the space you can go for

2x 18" in a box, constant 134 db. But I'd choose smaller ones cause anything above 12" lacks control imho...
btw, the "24-inch" woofer from Pimp my ride is a 22" and it sux!

oh GREAT! I want that :toothless
PS: just saw that syrincs have a new series, called "Rabiator" where the 12" box puts out 127db constant, 132db peak

Alrighty then... I just pulled the trigger and I did it!!!!!!!!!
Homey don't BS, BTW. When I say I'm gonna do something I normally do.
Now got 2-10" and 2-12". Bought a 1000W amp to push the 12" (200oz magnets per), so now I'm pushing 1500W in a little Ranger 4x4.
F*cking absolutely radical and bump unlimited. Trance hits super hard and clean--go figure. Had my ganster kid put his rap stuff in and thought I would lose a tire the cab was shaking so hard.
:D :D :D

that's bull imo.
depends on the woofer and the track you're playing. There's lots of trance that has frequencies below 60 Hz that a 12" can handle just fine.
if you want punch, put 4x 6.5" in the doors! |

Got 4 6x9's in the doors! Only prob I have is finding an acceptable balance and listening volume below 100db. Have to keep playing with all the controls. Oh well, WTF, I got 'em now so I'll learn to live with them. If my only problem is toning down to volume 2-3, instead of cranking to 30-35, then I succeeded.
Lol!

| Circular speakers, by general opinion, give cleaner sound. and the smaller subs do tend to punch more. |

Yep, them big ass 12" circular woofs driven with a 1000w amp tend to give some sound... You would normally expect power to come from there vice the 6x9's in the doors anyhoo. Oh, don't forget, there's a couple more smaller 10" circular woofs in there as well. Oh well, reckon we got all the stuff we need then...
