So, I got an email from Symantec today, and at the bottom, it told me at what time my email address was added to the database. It was also followed by a link for more info, followed:
Email Address: **************
Email Type: not specified, defaulted to MIME
Date and time signed up: August 12, 2005 at 01:57:21 PM
A description of how your email address was obtained: Confirmed opt-in users who registered to download the NAV free trial.
Um, I did NOT attempt to download NAV free trial, nor did I ever contact Symantec on the 12th. |

What they meant to say was, "some company sold us your e-mail info on the 12th". |
