Greb, Grunge, Goth WTF is going on here, This discussion has to be the biggest in the world,
Last night while sipping a pint of fine larger in the pub with the lads, I noticed two ppl who walked in , I thought It was a ing Circus going on outside, his hair was greasy as , like he has dipped it in Bin Ladens Mum’s , his pants where 2 times bigger than him like he just got them from a Oxfam Bin, they were all creased like his mamma had sat on em, then he had two huge fuking chains hanging from his arse , dangling on the floor like he had just been released from a mental hospital, then they had big black sweatshirts on with huge hood like he was in Iceland, then he had KORN spread across his back , also the guy stunk of turd.
Now ok everyone has the right to wear what the they want but hey , this can’t be normal can it and who started this dress code , just like townies , Rockports and Tracks tucked into there socks like they have been walking through a puddle, I like townies as they funny as and they all love trance including the girls who you always see on the dance floor smashed.
What’s your opinion Trance Brother?

I think people have the right to dress how they want, but I hate the type who dress like that just for the attention. The ones who think if they dress like a goth everyone will think they are crazy and individual (even though there seems to be more grebs about than townies these days). I'm sitting next to one of these people right now at work. He thinks he is superior because he wears a Marilyn Manson T Shirt. I like Marco V, but I aint gonna start wearing a T shirt with his face on it! I aint got a problem with them, as long as they are doing it for the right reasons.

Everyone may wear his own clothes ... even if they're so krazy like that...
That doesn't mean I like it.

i call this the 'sheep' complex... so many bloody sheeps in this stupid world, they cant do a godamn thing unless somebody does it before them... its pathetic.
i just dress the way i like too, and if people dont like it, they can blow me... but then again, i dont dress in just one fashion, i mean i dress nice sometimes, and sometimes i dont.. i just dress with the 'occassion' ... i mean your not going to walk around the beach wearing all black longesleeve shirts and nonsense like that.. you will die from a heat stroke. (at least down here you will).
But the thing that pisses me off the most, and agrivates me the most, is when people dress a certain way for a certain genre of music, i find that so stupid. like if you listen to deathmetal you have to dress all in black and look like a corpse, what a crock of , and so on and so on... like if you listen to rap you have to be a wigger, or if you like oldie's you have to dress like a hippie or some nonsense like that. .. ahhrrg, whatever.. people will be people.. or sheep. |

ignorance is ignorance, shrug.
just because someone doesnt dress "normal" means there is something wrong with them. i came from the industrial scene, and used to dress all hardcore vinyl etc. i loved it, and i still love it. no one has a style that isnt copying someone, somewhere. its been done before.
i dunno, i just wish people would stop stereotyping and judging someone based on their appearance before getting to know the person, and would realize that people are different, and not post ignorant threads like this. |

I find some dress styles weird and I can be like 'ay what the is that' for an instance if I see something in the street, but still their a person and thats the sort of thing they like, I know what you mean by this look to rebel against society.
I used to work with a goth dude and I've maybe come across or had a conversation with 3 of them in my life and one thing I've noticed is they all talk posh they sound like their from some wealthy family, and my view is they've rebelled at some point in their life against society and want to be different, I think sometimes it can be taken a bit seriously by some of them but thats just my view on it all. Like at my ex works x-mas party this dude came into like the most popular hang out in town full of people dressed in some black pvc catsuit thing with leather jacket, the chains, and even makeup he looked like Marlyn Mansons gimp, but in a way I can give him respect for going in like that fair enough he was with 75 people but he had guts to walk into a popular hangout dressed like that, but if thats the way people want to be just leave them to it they'll probably look back on the day when their 50 years old with families, house, and a high up job and think 'whoa what the was I on back then' I suppose its a phase sort of thing. |

How did I know that Sothis was definately going to reply to this thread? LOL, :D I agree with everything you said thus far. The ONLY problem I've ever had with the way someone dresses and how they like to express themselves was this one time at my school when this dude came walking around with this chick and he had her on a leash. :whip: I also saw this in the downtown area once too. I won't go into why I was not amused to say the least.
Another thing that is getting very popular is cranal (is that how you spell it?) implants. Anyways if you don't know what a cranal implant is and have never scene one where you're from, then consider yourself the lucky ones. People are basically drilling holes in their heads to have tubes and all sorts of other objects being implanted into their heads sticking out of them.   completely sick! People do this to themselves because they think it's beautiful WTF???
On a side note, I just find goth girls incredibly sexsi  drives me crazy everytime I see one. A buddy of mine wanted to take me to a goth club a little while back and I was so looking forward to it. He went out with a goth chick and was pretty familiar with the goth scene. Hopefully I'd get to meet some crazy goth honies.:D |

| sothis.. why do you try to find something bad in every thread??? i dont get it..:( |

if you dressed like a hippie, and followed values like people from that era lived by, and someone started a thread talking about how stupid it is that they dress that way, and other negative remarks, are you telling me you would not say something about it?
or how about if you really liked trance, and posted also on a board dedicated to jungle (which you liked as well). and someone started a thread saying "wtf are these people thinking who like trance? there must be something wrong with that, its stupid etard candy kid music". would you again be silent?
you might see me say more negative things than positive (tho i do say a lot of positive things as well), but thats because honestly, i see so much ignorance and a huge lack of diversity on this board. maybe thats because its world wide, but .. when someone started a thread dedicated to piercings and tattoos and i posted mine, i had people who had the audacity to respond and tell me how disgusting i (and my tattoos/piercings) were for getting them. its all about people who are used to a certain thing, who put down anything else wrong.
now can you honestly tell me, that me, coming from a scene which is very similar to what the person starting this thread is talking about, should not be offended and say something?
maybe for you ignorance is bliss, but for me, if i see a problem with something or blind hatred, people putting people down, etc... i sure as hell am going to say something about it.
would you? |
