2pac ft. Elton John - Ghetto Gospel
ok, first things first. what is elton john doing with 2pac? Well, the world's favorite caucasion, Eminem, samples Elton Johns 70s tune "indian Sunset" on the chorus. Believe it or not, it actually works out well. Now, i'm no big fan of hip hop. sure i enjoy a little bit of Outkast and some of the tracks that deal with "livin in da ghetto". Thus, i like this song.
The track sounds much like the 'fight of my life' vibe such as Eminem's "Lose Yourself" or The Games "Hate it or Love it." The bass isn't high, but the other effects just pump you up. Alongside the lyrics of remembering what a difference of being poor and being on top of the world and trying to bridge the game, it's emotional and powerful. And then comes Elton John with piano in hand to set the calm before another set of 2pac lyrics.
the song is rather new to me, as i don't listen to radio or watch MTV(2), so hopefully it's new to you as well and i hope u check it out
