The "golden era" of trance
View this Thread in Original format
DJ Gringo
I first started listening to trance in January 01 and ever since have been hearing about what is usually refered to as "the golden era" or the good old days. This of course being the year 1999. After listening to my buddy's trance tape from '99 I know what everybody's talking about. His tape had Millenium Strings - Kay Cee, Calling Your Name - Libra, Don't Be Afraid - Moonman, and other amazing tunes that I don't know. I was hoping I could get a thread started with everyone listing some of the great tracks from around this time.

Thanks everyone!
Gringo :)

Paul van dyk - for an angel

Every once in a while i have to peek back in these forums just to lay down the truth. 99-2000 were the best years, for every tune that comes out today........there were 10 that came out during those years and they were all quality. It didn't take much to find a good tune, and you knew exactly what you were getting when you dl'd a specific remix or artist, unfortunately thats not the case anymore...
