But to call someone simple minded b/c they like Tiesto or Oakenfold is really not called for. Maybe us "simple minded" fokes hear things differently.
I love Tiesto's presents behind the decks, his music and what he has done for the Scean.
But there is one problem that I have with him.. After his gigs he just goes away, not takeing time for his fans. Sure he will sign his head phones and toss them out to a random lucky person. But it seems to me he has gotten a little to big for his own good. you have to know someone that knows someone to even shake his hand. He seems to be Forgeting the fans that put him in the #1 spot to begain with. Other DJ's like Armin, Ferry, Markus, JZ... will take time for their fans no matter how bad they are mobbed at the end of their sets. They will sign shoes, hats, records flyers... and actully get to know our names. To me that is worth more anything...
This year I am not going to vote Tiesto as my #1 Dj. I think it is someone elses turn to take the prize of being # 1 in the world....... |

I'll have to agree that tiesto isn't as good as he used to be.
He got to number one somehow, and personally- he used to be my fav. dj.....
....but that was about 3yrs ago and now I've progressed and realized that there are so many better than him.
Dj mag is just one magazine establishing rights to who is #1 and who isn't.....and I'm sure as hell not every electronica lover is voting, or even cares about voting....... #1 is a popularity contest that doesn't necessarily grant the title of "best technical dj", which is something I am interested in- the best technical DJ!!!!1 :eek:
