i hvae a protective case for my ipod (not the apple case), but something called iSkin.
http://www.iskin.com/evo2.html
obviously these things are sensitive gadgets so you want to protect them as best as possible. i guess the people that returned it to the store might've damaged it somehow, and didn't invest in some protection first...
battery life has been pretty good for mine, 7-8 hours on one full charge. but again, shop around definitely :) |
I agree with Sal, comfortable protection for your sensitive gadget is a MUST. |

im gonna get one.
ive done a little reading up and the other contender i could think of would be the sony hd5 or the irivers. but im gonna stick to my first choice because i like the design and the menus.
im thinking of getting a refurb 30gig color ipod for 299$. (the other choice was a 20gig color ipod with student discount 279$)
and i'll def be buying a case for it. |

Befor buying it take a look at:
1>Cowon iAudio X5
2>iRiver H320/H340
iPod beaters both of them, they have all the features that you can imagine. EQ's, Line-in for recording etc etc.. iPOD sucks in my opinion as you cannot customize the sound. I can just go on and on bout y not to buy and iPOD. |

lmao I work at Apple here in Austin, 95% of the problems are user error I.E.: You drop it, over charge it, try and import crappy audio.
They're good products, just use it correctly and you won't have any problems. They're hard drives inside of them same as a computer. You drop your computer what do you think is gonna happen? OMG THAT'S GENIUS! :stongue:
Seriously you should see the people put their ipod through and then come back bitching that it doesn't work.
Also if the screens go out, most of the time is because A.) They loaded it on a windows machine  , and B.) It goes corrupt so they need to do a factory restore from the ipod updater off apple.com
Today is my day off, no more work talk! |

employee discount on a powerbook 17"?
and for clarification and for the record
the lithium ion battery pack (post ipod 2nd generation) has a life expectancy of 2-3yrs after the BATTERY HAS BEEN MADE! So all those massive ipods that are in demand must have been bulk manufactured how long ago till you bought it? this goes for almost all portable electronic devices...
and if you aren't sure exactly, i'm sure you or someone you've known owned a nextel i90 or i90c/l/x/vtec/vr4/watever but you know those people who've owned those phones have had MULTIPLE batteries with their phone - 1)the life expectancy of lithium ion in general.
even the sony nw hd3 runs off of lithium ion... :) |

don't forget you have to move the hold button twice from right to left for it to initiate the full reset function ;). |

| lmao we get raped as an employee, you're better off going as a student or finding someone that's a student. You get 300 dollars or 215 off if you're a student. Not to mention applecare for 3 years that cost 349 you get it at 239 for being a student. And yes get it, the parts on those machines are so expensive! The display alone + labor will run you around 900 dollars. |

I love my ipod mini! I have a 4GB pink one! Holds 1,000 songs.... They even personalized it for free and engraved it on the back through the apple store online! I'm a designer, so, I'm a mac/apple junkie. So far so good with my ipod! I love it! and it charges up pretty quick too!
it's definitely great/lightweight for workouts! I love it! |
