you get the Digweed Essential mix from this year, or some of the cool Gloabl Undergrounds that came out this year too.
Go here and dl Desyn (2004-07-01 - Desyn Masiello - Live At Pacha Ibiza) and 2005-04-09 - Hernan Cattaneo - Live At Southfest Buenos Aires and that James Lavelle and Darren Emerson set maybe.

| Prog Head! Welcome :D .. I love Sasha's Involver! Many say Sasha puts them to sleep .. I think that it takes a good Dj to put someone to sleep! If they are bad, you would get a headache instead :p |

There's nothing wrong with you. You're just one of many who is increasingly bored with Trance. I haven't listened to much trance over the past month or so, mainly because most of it is absolute rubbish and to make things worse - Trance DJs seem to be recycling the same garden variety top 40 trance tracks in their sets. The same thing happened 5 years ago when Trance got extremely cheesy and predictable - and other genres came in and filled the void.
For my money, the 'Trance' DJs who are bringing it at the moment are John Fleming, Chris Lawrence, Eddie Haliwell, DJ Spoke, and on the production front Sam Sharp is easily the best in the business. Other than that - the true innovation in electronic music is happening on the progressive front by the likes of Sasha, Zabiela, Phil K, Digweed, and that lot, and on the Trance front there is a brave new world of Psy Trance that is innovating production forward. Unfortunately, "regular" or "Epic" Trance is quickly sinking into commercialism and it will be replaced by something else in the near future if it fails to evolve. |
