I use Sound Forge to record from my mixer into my computer.

or use audacity. It works really well and it's open source, so it's free!

what cable is it, and what platform does it use to connect?
failsafe
you need to record out of your mixers out. Most better mixers will have more than one "out". You need an RCA to mini headphone jack cable. It looks like a Y. They're usally no more than $5 from radioshack or wherever you're looking to buy from. Hook the mini into your soundcards line in. If you don't have a linein a MIC jack sometimes works too.
