Quick question for JP-8080 owners.. can you test something for me?

I recently bought a 2nd hand JP-8080 and it got a dent while in post.. one first inspection everything seemed fine and it looked like it was only a small cosmetic damage.. but i've noticed somthing strange with my standard performance patches..
The following standard performances make absolutly no sound.
P2:47 - Trance Mission
P2:64 - Slim Fuzz
P3:11 - PcylowC, Then Chrd
P3:25 - Rasta Blaster
P3:41 - L:rhythm R:chord
P3:61 - Move your S
P3:81 - Arptrigger C2
Can JP owners tell me, if you turn on and go streight to these performaces should you be able to get an immediate sound?
secondly, if so.. does anyone know what these performances all have in common, so I may be able to pinpoint the fault?
Any help would be appreicated! |

Havent had a jp for years so cant help....but I have an alpha juno that was battered in the mail and doesnt sound some things from the keys and the chorus doesnt work, and also a phenomenaly rare cheetah ms6 which randomly decides it doesnt want to sound random notes.
If you have no joy from the keyboard, try triggering it via midi and see if it works then.
Get that claim in for damage from the courier :whip: |

I've tried triggering it from an external midi controller (DX7) and using the internal preview on the jp-8080.. no luck.. there is also no change I can make to the performace or patch settings to get it to make a sound..
I just need to be 100% sure this is a fault and maybe get a rough idea of what section is malfunctioning before it goes to the repairers..
FYI, didn't come by courier.. US postal service.. I have better chance of dating a swedish bikini model than getting any money outta them!

They dont play on mine either.. i thinks its due to the gay way the JP deals with midi so dont worry about it..
The factory presets are all pretty Techno oriented so if your looking around for trance presets then you may need to look somewhere else!
