| There's a thread about the US Open and no one is talking about the Agassi - Blake match last night? What gives? Probably the best match I've ever seen. Unbeilevable, props to both guys for putting on an amazing show. Tennis desperately needs more of that. |

i went to bed accepting the fact that age is playing a large factor in agassi's game only to wake up and go to the gym to find out agassi defeated blake 3 sets in a row. I stopped watching in the third set kinda wish i continued watching to see agassi rally back strong! |

Agassi vs Blake was an awesome match...but not as good as Sanguinetti vs Srichaphan. The only reason people say the Agassi Blake match was so good was because it was 2 American players. both famous in the game.
Sanguinetti vs Srichaphan was far better....with both players showing so much respect for one another..smiling at each other, clapping for one another and who can forget Sanguinetti about to serve and he steps back to laugh in the 5th set and while he is laughing looking at Srichaphan in amazement/respect , Srichaphan smiles back and yells "COME ON"...as if to say lets keep this going - its fun...lol.
Probally the best set i have seen since 2001....but it just doesnt get the publicity because they are virtual nobodies.
Oh and i was siked that Sanguinetti won...who is only 2 years younger then Agassi...
Classic Match!!
here is the link for those who missed it and want to read about it
Talk about a dramatic finale. It started out like any other match, but it took five sets, three tie-breaks, and 4 hours, 24 minutes for Italian veteran Davide Sanguinetti to dramatically defeat Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan 6-3, 4-6, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (6), 7-6 (5). |

That was a great match... this US Open has been one of the best , drama wise... since Sampras won then retired. These matches last so long... I watched the Agassi/Blake match til the end. It sucked when the switched stations though. I hate when stupid USA cuts off the match before it's over, to show some re-runs. Such morons!!! :wtf: |

no the lights didn't blind me... during the sharapova/petrova match, sharapova whacked one towards my corner after a point was over. it was faster than i anticipated so i turned around to face the wall for the carom. the carom came off the wall faster than i thought as well and went under my legs. i tried to do a pivot on my left leg, but my right leg was being stupid and kicked my left leg out from under. i just fell flat on my right side, you could hear it through the stadium. people went oooo and gasped. i got up quickly, picked up the ball, and threw it the length of the court to sharapova's side (she was serving) and received a small ovation for that.
i'm working the federer hewitt semifinal match today. should be a good one... that's what we said last year too, and federer just wiped the floor with hewitt. |

Gotcha... Sharapova tends to make men stumble ha.
Federer was too much for Agassi today. Amazing final nonetheless... I wonder if Agassi will retire? I would... |
