So I'm surprised nobody bothered mentioning anything about this as it's a pretty big event that's going on in the world right now...what do you guys think?

Lots more images on www.Gettyimages.com

First ever and largest military excercises in AGES...many are concerned about these massive maneuvres...been following it since the beginning, pretty interesting.

Land Air and Sea forces full scale operations...

ive said for years that it wouldnt surprise me to see china, russia and north korea form a new axis against the west resulting in a new cold war or worse.

Im scared everytime i hear china has bought another oil company.

Iraq is such a red herring compared to what lies in store

Agreed, this is definately a frightening prospect! Russia has money, equipment, nukes and a large population base. China has a massive military, the largest airforce in the world, the most or close to the most modern navy, a disposable population (people are disposable in their eyes), and thanks to the new economics in China secure resources. North Korea has a large army, nukes, and citizens it doesn't mind sending to die.
Add to this a growing angst toward the west in Russia, a need for land (workable land) in China, and a desperate starving population in North Korea and you've got a very very scary powder-keg.
I think it is only a question of when rather then if we will see North Korea make a grab for south Korea and China make a grab for Burma, Thailand, Bangladesh, Laos, Cambodia and possibly the north east of India (I think Vietnam is safe as there is a friendly communist government in the North and assured US involvement in the South).

Well that's the thing they weren't actually going against each other, they were practicing TOGETHER as ALLIES against various oponents...

They pretty much simulated an etire war with tousands of troops, ships, planes, amphibious assault from the water, paratroopers, submarines and more...

Look at those crazy Russian tanks that "swim" (one of the pics in the first post) I think it's the T80 or the T90 tank...T90 is supposed to be some super machine.
